You have to check the testing requirements of your country of destination before you travel. Country policies differ but typically you would have to get tested not earlier than 72 or 96 hours before the arrival at your destination. Check the charts below to find out the right time to get the test ahead of your trip.
72-hour travel window
Having just a 72 hour window in which to take your swab before your departure can be challenging – indeed, if your flight or ferry departure is on a Tuesday or a Wednesday we advise that you either rebook your travel for a day that gives you less challenges or use a same day courier to get your sample to the lab in time.
96-hour travel window
If you have been given a 96 hour window in which to take your swab before your flight or ferry departure then depending on the day of your flight or ferry, you may have a choice of days on which to take your swab. However, we strongly advise you make full use of the window and take the swab as early as the 96 hours permits.
